Game Server Connection Test
Lagging? Disconnecting? Check if it's your connection or the servers before you blame your ISP.
What the Numbers Mean
When you open a platform page, your browser sends a real HTTPS request to each server region and measures how long it takes to get a response. You'll see two numbers:
Response time: how fast the server answered once you're already connected. This is the number that matters most for in-game feel.
Setup time: the first connection, which includes finding the server (DNS), connecting, and encrypting. This only happens once when you first connect to a game.
Is This the Same as "Ping" in Games?
Not exactly, but it's a useful ballpark. Games typically show your ping as raw network round-trip time (ICMP or UDP). Our numbers are a bit higher because they measure a full HTTPS request, which includes extra overhead from encryption and the web protocol.
Think of it this way: if this tool shows 60ms, your in-game ping will likely be somewhere around 30–50ms. What matters is the relative comparison. If US East shows 40ms and EU West shows 180ms, your closer server is obvious.
| Our Response Time | What to Expect In-Game |
|---|---|
| < 80ms | Smooth. Good for competitive shooters and fighting games |
| 80–150ms | Playable. Fine for most online games, occasional rubber-banding |
| 150–250ms | Noticeable lag. OK for turn-based or co-op, tough for PvP |
| > 250ms | Rough. Significant delay, likely cross-continent |

Quick Troubleshooting
All servers show high response times?
Probably your local network. Try moving closer to your router, switching from Wi-Fi to ethernet, or restarting your router.
One platform is slow but others are fine?
Check the server probes (expand below each endpoint). If our servers also see high times, the platform might be having issues.
Results vary a lot between tests?
That's normal. Network conditions change constantly. Run a few checks and look at the average trend, not individual numbers.
